Australian Chamber Orchestra
One of the world's most lauded chamber ensembles, the Australian Chamber Orchestra is renowned for its inspired programming and unrivalled virtuosity, energy and individuality.
Founded in 1975, the Australian Chamber Orchestra has built an international reputation for its artistic excellence and adventurous programming. Lead by Richard Tognetti, Artistic Director and Lead Violin, the ACO's national concert season - over 70 performances annually in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and Wollongong, as well as regional tours - gives it the largest subscription base of any chamber orchestra in the world. Regular international tours have drawn outstanding reviews at many of the world's prestigious venues, including Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, London's Wigmore Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall.
